AGNBA

AGNBA – Automated Baggage Handling for Narrow-body Aircraft
Baggage handling for narrow-body aircraft is currently predominantly manual, slow and physically demanding. AGNBA automates loading and unloading processes in baggage handling using mobile robotics, 3D sensor technology and intelligent packing algorithms – as a retrofit without the need to modify the infrastructure. The focus is on shorter process times, lower costs, higher reliability and reduced workload for employees, as well as a valuable contribution to sustainable aviation. Universal measurement systems, end-to-end data networking and real-time tracking enable a digital baggage journey from check-in to baggage cart. Development and validation take place in real-world operations at the innovative PAD airport.
