DIGITAL AEROSPACE FACTORY
EFFICIENCY AND SUSTAINABILITY

The focus of the “Digital Aerospace Factory” project is on increasing efficiency along the entire value chain in medium-sized aerospace companies. Key drivers here are an increase in sustainability and environmental friendliness as well as a constantly growing cost pressure. Participating companies are using a digitalised, networked process chain as a basis for developing innovative solutions for conserving energy, material and time resources. Simulating of the findings in the digital world is followed by validation based on specific manufacturing processes in an industrial environment. Efforts here are also aimed at increasing efficiency in the development and production of metallic structures in the aerospace industry.
