Autonomy on the airport apron <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Civil aviation faces a significant challenge when it comes to decarbonization. One possible approach to optimizing the overall system is the use of alternative propulsion systems for secondary activities, which include electric taxiing on the airfield. The goal of the \u201cFastGate\u201d project is to investigate the potential for reducing downtime, operating costs, and CO\u2082 and noise emissions through the automation of processes on the airport apron and to quantify these findings as part of the project validation. To this end, the automation of passenger boarding bridges and electric propulsion systems on the landing gear of commercial aircraft are being tested for new processes and procedures at commercial airports. The project encompasses the development of the solutions as well as their validation based on defined technical and operational criteria.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
